Brief – The brief from the client was to create a fresh & contemporary feel, with plenty of storage. This family home was renovated to allow more space for a growing young family.

The existing lower level was reworked to allow a large open plan kitchen and living space, as well as new powder room, laundry & guest bathroom.

A new second storey was added to include 3 bedrooms, main bathroom, living area and large master suite with walk in robe & ensuite.

Nimmo Nielsen Collective oversaw the selection of all materials & finishes including design of Joinery & window furnishings.

In the large open plan living downstairs, bespoke joinery was designed the width of the room, with a central gas fireplace.

American Oak in a combination of a Natural & Charred stain finish was chosen to add warmth, and works beautifully with White V-Groove panelling to create a relaxed contemporary feel. A beautiful textured rug anchors the space with the feature large modular sofa & textured scatter cushions.

The sleek white kitchen is timeless and elegant, and sits proud in the centre of the room.

The new powder room is fun, with a solid timber plinth running full width to accomodate the basin & valuable bench space without cluttering the small space.

The new laundry is huge with plenty of storage, a pull out ironing board and the added bonus of a chute from the new second storey.
